FMCW Radar

Radar stands for radio detection and ranging, the goal is to determine the position and velocity of a target. This is done by bouncing modulated light, in the RF region, off of the target and observing the change in frequency. We’ll see that a change in frequercy is caused by both the distance from the radar system (modulo some parameter) and a doppler shift caused by the movement on the axis subtending the target and the radar system.
